There are many types of flowers available for floral designers, from exotic imports to locally grown. Learn to identify new varieties of old favorites, seasonal flowers, and various foliages. Topics include the special handling needs of many flower types.

Materials Information:
For In-person classes: Price includes a $80 materials fee for plant materials and hard goods. Please bring a florist knife, wire cutters, scissors, pruners, a camera, and a box or bag to carry home your work. A Floral Tool Kit is available for purchase through the Registration Office.

For Online Classes: Before class each week, please purchase flowers from a corner store, green grocer, or other market. For the first class, look for a bouquet or two that contains some of these flowers if possible: lily, tulip, alstromeria, carnation, lisianthus, snap dragon, and gerber daisy.
