Course detail: Sleep Fitness Training for Firefighters

This online, self-paced course is designed to educate you about the importance of sleep and how sleep problems affect the health and well-being of career and volunteer firefighters. In addition to general education, you will get feedback about your risk for sleep disorders as well as learn practical strategies for improving sleep quality and about interventions used to treat common sleep disorders.
At the conclusion of this course you will have learned about your personal risk for commonsleep disorders, learned about the most common sleep problems and disorders among firefighters, the health risks related to sleep problems, the health benefits of sleep, practical strategies for improving sleep and increasing daytime alertness, common interventions to treat sleep disorders, and how to access care in Kansas.
