Course detail: Fire Pump Simulator Training

This training utilizes the Fire Pump Operations simulator to reinforce good fire pump operator skills and mediate the correct response to a fire pumping situations. Situations are repeatable until the desired skill is learned without endangering students or damaging equipment. The simulator contains all of the functions and controls needed for conducting safe fire pumper operations training.

Objectives:
After completing this training, firefighters should be able to:

    1. Demonstrate making a fire pump operational. (5.1.2, 10.2.2)

    2. Demonstrate operating a fire pump utilizing water from the on board tank. (5.1.2, 10.2.2)

    3. Demonstrate operating a fire pump from a pressurized water supply. (5.1.2, 10.2.2)

    4. Demonstrate operating a fire pump from a static water source. (5.2.3, 5.2.4, 5.2.5)

    5. Demonstrate actions taken for sprinkler and standpipe support (5.2.7)

    6. Demonstrate actions taken when troubleshooting pumping operation. (5.1.2)
