Course detail: New Fire Chief: Challenging Issues NFA F0760

This two-day course is designed to develop the managerial, administrative and leadership skills necessary for the first-time fire chief or chief officer who desires a leadership position in their department. This course addresses critical knowledge and skills pertaining to the responsibilities of a fire chief.

This course will help the new fire chief or fire department leadership with explaining the fire chief's scope of duties, how a successful fire chief navigates the local political environment to effectively influence public policy and describe resources available to them in the performance of their official duties.
