Galveston College provides CPR training for individuals, companies, groups, and organizations with flexible scheduling. Students are trained by our American Heart Association (AHA) instructors to help infants as well as adults in an emergency situation.

Study the heart's anatomy, function and how it produces electricity. Learn how one records this electricity with the EKG and telemetry monitor. This course addresses the electrical-cardio changes of commonly seen diseases and heart rhythm disturbances.

Train to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in a long-term care facility. Course topics include resident's rights, communication, safety observation, reporting and basic comfort and care. Emphasis is placed on the effective interaction with the respective healthcare teams. Students MUST register for BOTH Nurse Aide and Clinical.

Clinical skills portion of Certified Nurse Aide program. Instructors will schedule clinical skills off site. Students must wear burgundy scrubs with student patches and have a watch with a second hand. The student is responsible for transportation to and from the clinical sites.

Phlebotomy technicians are trained to work in hospitals, labs, and other medical facilities, often working alongside nurses and doctors in dealing with patients. A career in phlebotomy requires certification and training in how to use needles, vacuum tubes, and syringes. Students MUST register for BOTH Phlebotomy and Phlebotomy Clinical.
