Estate Planning

This course will teach you how to create a simple estate plan. You will be given information on particulars of estate planning such as how-to properly plan for the future distribution of your assets, how to establish a power of attorney, create a Will in Testament and prepare a Living Will. This course will also cover trust funds, how best to incorporate charitable giving into your plan and how-to take proper inventory of the assets you have now.

Piano Lessons with John Harris

Weekly private lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced students from age 3 1/2 and beyond. The lesson plans include a balance of theory, ear training, sight reading and repertoire appropriate to the student's level and musical ability. There will be a class recital at the end of this session.

Yoga Techniques for Beginners

This timely one-day workshop will guide attendees through essential sequences to incorporate yoga as part of a sensory diet into pre-k-8th grade classroom or clinic. Previous yoga experience is not necessary. You will have the opportunity to experience the effects of breathing, movement, mindfulness, relaxation and yoga games so that you can confidently and successfully implement them with children. Attendees will learn sequences to immediately support their treatment or classroom lessons as well as strategies to promote carryover in multiple settings, incorporate yoga as part of a sensory diet and use as a daily exercise program.

Photography

Learn the techniques you need to communicate with your camera and how to take strong, effective photographs in this beginner course on color and black-and- white photography. Different cameras (traditional and digital) will be addressed, and several practical demonstrations will be given in the classroom. Technical considerations will share equal time with explorations of photographic aesthetics.

In the 1910s, Hollywood became the film industry's hub, but producers often filmed in San Diego. This class explores why San Diego is ideal for filmmaking and the adventures of early film crews. As movies transitioned to talkies, San Diego became a favorite for major productions. Notable films shot there include Citizen Kane, Some Like It Hot, The Stuntman, Almost Famous, and the Top Gun movies.
