The community production of The Wizard of Oz will bring youth from Prineville and Madras together for this theater arts program offered free of cost to all who register. Rehearsals are every other weekend, April - August at COCC Madras, and culminate with two performances at the Madras Performing Arts Center, August 3 and August 4. All are welcome to participate with roles ranging from stage crew, munchkins, lead roles, and more. Ages 9-17.

In this interactive course, you will learn how to identify your own personal strategy for managing your photos and techniques to create a beautiful collection of memories that your family will enjoy for generations.

This exploratory workshop introduces participants to the world of alternative photo processes focusing on cyanotypes. Cyanotypes use the sun to create images on paper that can be toned with plants to create a host of different colors. Students will learn how to create cyanotypes with photograms and/or digital negatives and then use various plants to tone their creations.

Learn the elements of art and how to create abstract expressions with them! In this hands-on camp, students will be introduced to the ELEMENTS of ART: line, shape, form, texture, color and value by drawing with markers and colored pencils. Students will learn expression artwork as a framework for expressing their ideas, themselves, and their emotions. Each student's artwork will be as unique as they are! This class is designed for non-artists and artists alike, and no artistic skill is required. Taught by COCC Art Professor, Natasha Bacca. Create unique and beautiful Japanese Ikebana floral arrangements using techniques established over centuries. Historical, cultural, and spiritual aspects of the practice accompany hands-on learning.
