Course Detail: PDPR-125A - INTRO TO PRODUCT DESIGN A

  

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of the four phases of the design process. Students should demonstrate a basic understanding of problem solving, user needs, and if applicable the elements of diversity, equity, and inclusive design. This is part 1 of a 2 part course. 

This section of "Intro to Product Design" is only available to approved students from Design Architecture Senior High in Miami, Florida.   Students must have approval from the DASH Industrial Design Department and from their parents or guardians. 

This course is the equivalent of the first half of DPR-125.  Students who successfully complete this course with a C or higher will earn 1.5 college credits.  CCS will offer PDPR-12B in the Winter 2025 semester. 

This course will be offered in the Fall semester,  7:40 AM - 9:15 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays (B Days) starting the first day of school, August 15th. The first Friday would be August 23rd.

Schedule: This course is offered at DASH, Miami Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday (B) days at 7:40am - 9:15am. The CCS instructor will be online. There will be a DASH Industrial Design teacher in the classroom with the students.
