Astronautics Camp, 10th - 12th graders

In this camp, students are going to learn about the design and operation of satellites catering to the needs of different space missions. Students will learn about satellite orbits, satellite attitude, how the design of satellite components is connected to the design of orbit that the satellite flies, and how satellites change their orbits and their attitude. Students will have a chance to work with Nano-satellite hardware kits, sensors that measure satellite attitude and will use NASA mission software to design their orbits. Students will also calculate the cost of their designed mission. Scholarships are available to students under-represented in Aerospace Engineering. *You will pay the full camp fee of $250.00 and within 60 days of attending the camp will receive a $200.00 scholarship check for attending the camp.
