Course Detail: HRD-3004WI2 - Math Essentials for Healthcare Careers

Strengthening math skills is a key step toward success in healthcare careers. This class helps students build confidence with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division while also reviewing fractions and measurement conversions. Learners will practice reading and interpreting gauges, graphs, and scales; recording accurate measurements; converting between inches and feet, pounds and kilograms, and Celsius and Fahrenheit; skip counting by twos and tens; and calculating basic medication dosages. By the end of the class, participants will be equipped with the essential math foundation needed for healthcare occupations.
