Course Detail: CJC-5000BK4 - Advanced Post-Crash Inspector
The NCSHP is tasked with investigating collisions involving Commercial Motor Vehicles to determine if there are any causative factors involving the CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicles) or its driver. The NCSHP has developed this course to train inspectors to properly check the brake systems of the CMV's for deficiencies. This course will explain the process for maintaining the certification, and the history of the Advanced Post-Crash Inspector program. Topics include: Policy/Procedures; Arriving at the Crash Scene/Inspection; Driver Impairment; Braking Systems; Air/Air Disc Brakes; Hydraulic Brakes; ELC (Electronic Logging Device); Electric Brakes; Advanced Driver Assistant Systems; EMC; Post-Crash Trailer Orientation/Kits; and Field Testing.
