Training Information: CED-0838 - Basic Welding

This basic welding training starts with welding safety, a mandatory requirement for using the Vermont Tech Welding laboratory.
Participants will be introduced to MIG, STICK, and TIG welding techniques with a hands-on approach. The training will also cover the basics, including various types of metals and their properties with regard to welding, proper tank and pressure setup, what the ideal weld should look like, and what kind of defects occur that produce poor welds.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to use a plasma cutter to cut various types of metals accurately.

REGISTRATION: Registration closes 2 weeks before the training start date. Any registrations from the initial close up to 5 days before the start will be assessed a $50 late registration fee. No registrations within 5 days of the training.  Any cancelations within 5 days of starting will be assessed a $75 cancelation fee. There will be no refunds given for no-shows.
