Training Information: CED-0851 - Class A Soils - Field Description of Soils

Participants will focus on essential soil properties related to soil drainage and on-site waste disposal, including soil texture, color, redoximorphic features, soil structures, and permeability.

Participants will evaluate and identify soil characteristics using standards appropriate to the Vermont wastewater system design, describe soils, and estimate seasonal high water table levels.

Participation in the three (3) hour in-person or remote training and a three (3) hour field exercise on the same day or the day after is required. Upon completion, the participant is expected to be knowledgeable in describing soils and estimating seasonal high water table levels.

The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources has approved this for four (4) continuing education credits.

REGISTRATION: Registration closes two (2) before the training starts. Any registrations from the initial close up to five (5) days before the start will be assessed a $50 late registration fee. No registrations within five (5) days of the training.

CANCELATION: Cancelations occurring within five (5) days of the training start will be assessed a $100 cancelation fee. No refunds are given for no-shows.
