Dr. Toni Aspin is a seasoned leader, organizational effectiveness consultant, leadership coach, and educator. Toni launched a coaching consultancy practice in 2011 working with executives and boards of directors to optimize their impact. Prior to this ongoing venture she held executive leadership roles spanning 30 years in both the profit and nonprofit sectors.

In the banking sector she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at MarinerBank in Port Townsend, WA from start-up phase until its sale nearly five years later in 2006. Following that endeavor, she marshaled a successful banking application through the regulatory process and, in collaboration with CEO and founders, opened Core Business Bank in Bellevue, WA in 2007. There she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer through 2009.

In the nonprofit sector she served as CEO for One Reel & Teatro Zinzanni, Managing Director at Richard Hugo House, Chief Financial Officer for the Seattle Symphony, and Executive Director for Centrum.

She is a C.P.A. (retired license in 2020), earned an MBA at the University of Washington, Foster School of Business, Executive Program in 1995, and graduated with honors from Pacific Coast Banking School in 2008.

Aspin earned a Ph.D. in Transformative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. For her doctoral dissertation Toni investigated how corporate governance might be reframed to reflect a participatory worldview and envisioned what the impact of this shift might look like in boardroom dynamics.

Since 2012, Toni has served as a Lecturer at the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT). She teaches leadership courses for several schools at the UWT including the Milgard School of Business, the School of Engineering and Technology, for the Professional Development Center, and for the Professional and Continuing Education Program.

Toni is an executive coach certified by the International Coaching Federation and offers executive and leadership team coaching services. She is a life-long learner, avid yoga practitioner, equity advocate, and arts appreciator.
