The Leadership Capstone is the culminating project in the Certificate in Leadership Essentials. It is an opportunity for students to demonstrate how they can integrate personal, team, and strategic leadership skills to make an impact on their organization and career. Every student will complete a real-world project of their choice in their workplace (or another organization of which they are a part), write a brief report on the project's outcomes and how they demonstrated leadership skills, and present it to their classmates.

This course is offered in a guided practicum / capstone format, which means that the majority of the work is done outside of class time and students must be able to work independently towards project deliverables. Live, virtual class sessions will focus on workshopping project ideas, discussing project progress and challenges, and gathering feedback from peers and the instructor.

• Apply Personal, Team, and Strategic Leadership skills and knowledge to a workplace setting
• Demonstrate an understanding of how Personal, Team, and Strategic Leadership skills must be integrated together
• Articulate their own leadership style, strengths, and areas for growth
