This workshop will focus on specific strategies and tools that caregivers can use to operationalize these components of trauma sensitive caregiving in the classroom environment and at home. The workshop will be highly experiential and will allow teachers, program directors and managers, and parents to explore the components of a trauma-informed teacher and parent support program comprised of concrete tools based in connection-based caregiving practices including the Hand in Hand Parenting Program, mindfulness, and the expressive arts.

Participants will leave with practical skills that can be implemented at the program level, the classroom level, and in the context of the home-school partnership.
