Course Detail: C_GRADINGWORKSHOP - Grading and Assessment Workshop for Early College English Teachers

The University of Maine Augusta is hosting this grading and assessment workshop so that teachers around the state can work together, share some best practices, and develop a working understanding of UMA's grading standards. This collective understanding can help Early College teachers streamline their grading process and validate their assessment standards. 

Objectives of the program:

1.      Develop a collective understanding of the University of Maine Augusta's assessment standards specifically for two common assignments: The research-based essay for ENG 101 courses and the literary analysis essay for ENG 102 courses.

2.      Learn best practices when assessing essays and student work as well as identifying effective scaffolding and feedback to help students improve their writing.
