Course Detail: C_DIVERSITYEQUITY_5 - 2020 Fall - Diversity & Equity in Professional & Clinical Spaces

Contact Hrs/CEUs: 5/0.5

The purpose of this training is to provide insights into the diverse experiences and identities of colleagues, communities, and associated demographics with each of the participating organizations and agencies. Participants will build knowledge on key themes of diversity and inclusion in day-to-day settings, inter office politics, and organization hierarchy. With this knowledge, participants will then apply these concepts and modalities to their current organization of affiliation or place of business.

Through these discussions, activities, and exercises participants will develop solution based responses to challenges in their environments as well as develop a foundation with which they can interact with diverse community members. Most importantly, participants will have a heightened awareness and understanding of the way their day to day actions, policies, and perspectives impact those around them.

Conversely, these same perspectives, policies, and actions can be leveraged to utilize the strengths of diversity and inclusion while celebrating the unique individual expertise of each members identity and the potential the combination of those identities has to improve all aspects of the participating agencies.
