Course Detail: C_2021INTROTOAQUAPONICS - 2021 Introduction to Aquaponics: Dynamic STEAM for the K-8 Classroom

Introduction to Aquaponics: Dynamic STEAM for the K-8 Classroom is a professional learning (PL) opportunity for educators to experience how the concept of sustainable food production methods are emerging all over the world, as well as using an aquaponic system to give hands-on scientific learning experiences to their students. 

 

Attendees will:

 

1. Gain knowledge to assemble and maintain a healthy aquaponic system

2. Be familiar with the care and health of the fish species within the system

3. Understand the water chemical properties

4. Be familiar with fish and plant anatomy

5. Understand how to deliver project-based aquaponic centered student

experiences
