Course Detail: C_EXPLOCEAN - Exploring Oceanography - BLOOM Educators Program
The "Exploring Oceanography" BLOOM Educators' Program, is an annual professional development workshop for Maine middle and high school science teachers, which brings 10 educators to Bigelow Laboratory for four days (Tuesday, August 10 - Friday, August 13, 2021). In 2010, the Laboratory broadened the reach of the Keller BLOOM Program by offering an annual ocean sciences professional development workshop for Maine high school teachers. Modeled after the Keller BLOOM student program, the BLOOM Educators' Program - "Exploring Oceanography", provides teachers with training and hands-on experience, using the Gulf of Maine for context, so that they are better equipped to integrate ocean science into their science curricula.
