Course Detail: P_COACH - Coaching to Enhance Performance

Effective coaches use work problems as opportunities to develop strengths in their employees for the future. Using real-life case studies, participants will learn the difference between coaching and supervision. Discover how to utilize coachable moments to bring out the best in others and how to continuously build the skills and motivation of employees.


We recommend that students start the supervision program with Stepping Up to Supervisor followed by Using Feedback Effectively.This course is part of the Certificate Program in Supervision.

The University of Southern Maine is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.
