T&L 2900: Spring 2026 - Practicing Presence (Book Study)
This professional learning experience is designed for K-12 teachers who seek to deepen their understanding of mindfulness and presence in the classroom. Based on the book Practicing Presence, participants will explore strategies to enhance self-awareness, reduce stress, and foster meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
The course includes 8 virtual sessions focused on discussion, application, and collaborative reflection, paired with 8 hours of independent reading and personal reflection. Through guided conversations and practical exercises, educators will learn how to integrate presence into daily teaching practices to improve classroom climate, student engagement, and overall well-being.
