T&L 2900: VIR: New Teacher Help

Half of all new teachers leave teaching or are dismissed within the first five years. This course was developed by administrators and teachers with a combined 50 years of experience in the classroom to strengthen novices in these areas: Re-engaging unmotivated students, implementing an effective discipline plan, building a repertoire of research-based instructional strategies, avoiding litigation, and forming positive and productive relationships with students and parents. Last -- but not least -- this course uses the latest research, best practices and common sense to help teachers develop a solid knowledge base in order to become an effective teacher in a very short period of time.

This course is designed to lessen the time it takes for novice teachers to assimilate into the profession, and reduce the amount of teacher attrition that takes place. School districts spend millions of dollars and thousands of man-hours each year hiring new teachers to replace the ones who have quit. These resources could be better spent on something else! Our course will make you a happier, more effective teacher in 45 hours.
