Course Detail: CYBO103 - CYBERSECURITY 1: (High School) LIVE ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS

CYBERSECURITY 1:   Information technology security is a constantly evolving field that most people do not fully understand. Since networked technologies have become integral to our lives, we all need to know how to protect our devices and networks. It is common to read about cybersecurity and data breaches almost every day. Google, Uber, Target, and government agencies are constantly under threat.  

Students in Introduction to Cybersecurity 1 participate in exciting hands-on activities in ethical hacking, digital forensics, and open-source investigation led by top industry experts. In addition to gaining an understanding of industry requirements, students explore the variety of career options available in cybersecurity.

Note: Students will need a laptop or desktop computer with Windows 10 operating system with 8 GB of RAM and at least 20GB of free storage. Students will also need to download free open-sources software before the program starts and will receive specific instructions the week before the class runs. 

Live Online Synchronous: (LOS) Students are in class continuously for the duration of the class, for presentations, assignments and group work with an instructor present.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a full refund for any cancellation one week prior to a program’s start. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start date receive a 50% refund.
