No image available Biography: Chinonso Ezeobi is a Meyerhoff scholar and the current president of the UMBC Optica Student chapter pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He obtained a B.S. in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nigeria in 2001 and an M.S. in Science in Technology from the University of Vaasa, Finland, in 2015. His research is in photonics and optics, specifically nonlinear optics, the process of using optical techniques (induced grating autocorrelation, Z-scan.) to characterize nonlinear properties of semiconductor materials and fiber optics. He has over 15 years of industrial experience in Telecommunications rising to Deputy Manager Transmission in both mobile network providers and telecommunication equipment vendors' environments
