FINANCIALSMARTS-FINANCIAL LITERACY: This is a four-week financial literacy and education program designed to introduce students to various concepts like: budgeting, banking, saving, paying for college, and credit. Students will learn by engaging with UMBC's online and mobile-friendly CashClips financial literacy program, with 4-7 minute snippets of financial education that are easy to digest with fun quizzes to test your knowledge. Students will be expected to make a CashClips account and explore one sequence of the CashClips each week. The four sequences covered in this course are:
- The "Basics"
- Financial Education for Higher Education
- Your Credit and You
- The Working World

Each sequence has 'clips' within it that explore topics like budgeting, banking, saving, paying for college, and credit. At the end of each week, students will take an online google form quiz on the information they learned. The majority of this course is asynchronous, however, there will be two live online synchronous sessions.
- An introduction meeting on April 7th from 4:30-5:00 pm to set expectations, and help students sign up for CashClips.
- A closing forum discussion to discuss questions on April 28th from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm.

Live Online Hybrid: (LOH) Students have a scheduled start time, check-ins and office hours with instructor, in-between independent study and work time.
