This intensive, non-credit course is designed for busy professionals and recent college graduate who are interested in exploring the high-demand career opportunities in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)*.

Through face-to-face or online instruction and weekly discussions, participants explore best practices for teaching English as a second and a foreign language and learn how to create an effective, communicative language classroom for students of varied ages and levels. The course uses a practical, hands-on approach that includes classroom observations, tutoring sessions and classroom teaching. 100+ hours of teaching and applied learning are required to complete this course.

* This course is comparable to courses in teaching "ESL" (English as a Second Language). The label TESOL is simply inclusive of the fact that English may be your students' second, third, fourth language, not the native language.
