Course Detail: GAME103 - Game Design/Development (High School)
Have you ever wondered how video games like Fortnite are made? It all starts with coding! Students will learn Java and C++ as they explore the foundations of game design. Students will build on these skills to develop their own game and plot their own takeover of the billion dollar gaming industry.
From indie to multiplayer PvP games, game designers and developers all have to start somewhere. The Introduction to Game Design and Development teaches students the nuts and bolts of coding. Get familiar with Java and C++. Students will learn the foundation of game design and build on these skills to understand what it takes to develop their own game.
This class can be taken multiple times. Repeating courses takes students deeper into the content material, building student understanding, competency and skill.
LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch. All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
