THE JAPANESE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE: What comes to your mind when you hear Japanese culture? Origami? Tea ceremony? Kendo? Anime? Manga? J-pop? Whatever came to your mind, you are in the right place! Japanese culture is mixed with long lasting traditions and new concepts. 

This course introduces the students to both traditional culture and pop-culture in one week. We plan to cover the following topics, 1) origami, 2) calligraphy, #) flower arrangement, 4) manga, anime and game and 5) pop music. A class structure consists of lectures and hands-on activities for each topic.

LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch.  All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
