Course Detail: MOOT103 - MOOT COURT-2 WEEK FULL DAY COURSE (High School)

MOOT COURT: Do you like to argue your point of view? Are you curious about the Constitution? If so, Moot Court is for you. You will learn how to argue before the Supreme Court using a fictitious case about warrantless surveillance of cell phone location information but use real legal arguments to support your position. Along the way, you will gain confidence in public speaking and learn how the legal system works. We will take a trip to Washington DC to tour the Supreme Court. At the end of the two week program, we will hold an oral argument at the University of Maryland Law School's Moot Courtroom. There, you will have a chance to show off your skills as a lawyer and a Supreme Court justice. Check out this article from the Baltimore Sun about the course.

LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch. All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
