CERTIFIED SUPPLY CHAIN PROFESSIONAL  

UMBC offers Baltimore and Maryland's only APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP®) training, providing a comprehensive body of knowledge, best practices and standards for anyone in supply chain. Earning the APICS CSCP will make you a recognized expert in the supply chain field giving you the professional distinction that sets you apart for your high level of knowledge and skills. 


The CSCP® certificate taught at UMBC takes a broad view of the field, extending beyond internal operations to encompass the entire supply chain-from the supplier, through the company, to the end consumer. The program provides professionals with the skill set necessary to understand and manage the integration and coordination of activities within today's increasingly intricate supply chains. As a CSCP professional, you will bring cutting edge best practices to your team, elevating your job performance and helping you drive improvement in your organization, maximize the efficiency of planning and operations to improve the bottom line.


After earning your CSCP you will be able to:

This is an instructor-led comprehensive professional development and exam preparation program based on the current APICS® CSCP® Exam Content Manual. This comprehensive training program combines print materials with interactive web-based study tools to provide a customized learning experience.


DETERMINING ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements to get their CSCP certification:

  • Three years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree or the international equivalent
  • CPIM, CLTD (includes APICS Fellows), CTL, CIRM,SCOR-P, CPM, or CPSM designation
The APICS® Certified Supply Chain Professional designation is earned by passing a separate certification exam. Prior to registering for the exam, candidates must apply for eligibility.  Length of the program generally consists of 39 instructional hours.Visit apics.org/cscpexam for more details.  


Class will meet weekly in a live on line synchronous environment to support the building of community for learning, discussions and engagement.  Resource readings and supplemental media will be available for participants interested in exploring concepts and content in more depth.

This course is not limited to UMBC students and is open to the general public.
