Course Detail: ENMG691C - INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT (LIVE ON-LINE)

Inclusive Leadership in Project Management:
The course will balance the art and science of project management with a strong emphasis on nontechnical skills, growth mindset, and systems needed in leading projects and project teams. The primary goal of this course is to help leaders incorporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE/I) principals, tools, and techniques in project management throughout the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closeout phases. A secondary goal of this course is to develop leaders' nontechnical skills, growth mindset, and systems needed in leading projects and project teams. 

Course Objectives
  • Develop a growth mindset by recognizing and identifying the beliefs, behaviors, and practices that get in the way of managing projects and project teams.
  • Develop the leadership skills and nontechnical skills required to be an inclusive leader in project management with a strong emphasis on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE/I). 
Class Participation 
Regular class attendance is an expectation of all leaders. Each leader is expected to participate in all class discussions and group activities.
