Biography: Dale Wisely, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist specializing in work with children, teenagers, and parents. Dr. Wisely is in private practice in Birmingham with the group Child & Adolescent Associates, P.C. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Wisely was senior psychologist at VaughanClinic/Children's Hospital where he practiced for 14 years. Dr. Wisely earned his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology from Memphis State University. He completed his internship training at the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychology at UAB. In May 1998, Dr. Wisely expects to complete a Master's degree in Theology from Spring HillCollege. Dr. Wisely has served on a number of boards and committees, including the Board of Directors of the Crisis Center, the Early Warning Panel at Mountain Brook Schools, and the Executive Council of the Alabama Psychological Association. He directed continuing education programs for Alabama psychologists for four years. He was the 1995 recipient of the Alabama Psychological Association's Outstanding Contribution to Professional Psychology Award. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wisely speaks extensively to public and professional audiences on topics in child, adolescent, and family psychology.
