Course Detail: NRSA-3424 - Nursing Ethics & Professionalism

Ethics and professionalism are integral parts of foundational nursing practice. You will examine the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, as well as discuss professionalism in nursing practice. Professional boundaries, described as the space between a nurse's power and patient's vulnerability, are explored with the focus on the responsibilities of the nurse to maintain these boundaries. In addition, you will discuss the increasing use of social media, possible consequences associated with misuse, and best practices to avoid problems. Review the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Rules.
