Course Detail: ECE-4147 - Building Relationships Culture, Bias, & Trauma

The impact of trauma and toxic stress occurs in the context of our relationships with others and our environment. Adversities in childhood affect brain development and neural network connections. Examine Adverse Childhood Experiences and how these experiences may be considered trauma.  Review the F.A.N. Framework to focus on working with young children and families and building strengths and protective factors in those families to help mitigate trauma's effects on development.
