No image available Biography: My name is Roberta Ceballos, I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. Laredo has been my home for 27 years, and I love living here! I'm married to a wonderful man, and have 4 grown children, all of whom graduated from Martin and Nixon. I started college late in life, and graduated from TAMIU in 1994 with a Bachelor's of the Arts in English. I became certified as a teacher in 1994, and taught high school and middle school English, Speech, and Drama. I was the One Act Director at Memorial Middle, Martin High, and United Middle until I retired June 2017. Although I love theater, my true passions are writing and politics.

Focus of class: Successful STAAR essay writing - organization of thoughts, use of grammar devices and spelling, as well as revising and editing skills. Students will learn to use vivid descriptive language that is appropriate to the topic.
