The Activity Professional Program overviews anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and human pathology in order to understand all the inner working of the human body, how you think about the human body as a health care professional, and how to communicate to colleagues and clients respectively about their bodies. It emphasizes practical applications for hands-on practice, biomechanics applications for activities of daily living, and whole-body patterns in posture and gait.
The Childcare Specialists Certificate Program introduces the historical, theoretical and developmental foundations for educating and caring for young children. With particular emphasis on caring for children from birth through age 8, this program takes students through a range of topics including the roles, responsibilities and requirements of individuals working in early childhood settings, current issues that have implications on children, families and early childhood professionals, and age-related developmental accomplishments. Alongside ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all children in their care, this program will ensure students have a firm grasp on the educational and developmental needs of young children in order to create a stimulating, nurturing and fun environment for all children in their care.
The HIT for IT Support Specialist Program prepares students to understand and use electronic records in a medical practice. This course is designed to fully prepare students to sit for and pass the CompTIA Network+ Certification exam. Students gain skills necessary to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, install, operate, and configure basic network infrastructure, describe networking technologies, understand basic design principles, adhere to wiring standards, & use of testing tools.

Discusses each body system in terms of the major anatomical structures & functions & explains how each system participates in homeostasis.

The Six Sigma Specialist program presents an overview of the key concepts for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification exam.
The Spa Professional Program provides an overview of the theoretical principles for common massage therapy systems and manual techniques. Prepares students with fundamental knowledge about sanitation, & creating an appropriate environment to perform massage therapy services with ethical and professional boundaries. Students will also have the knowledge and tools for basic entrepreneurship, including marketing for massage therapy. Emphasizes utmost professionalism & ethical behavior.
The Sports Massage & Athletic Training Specialist Program provides an overview of the theoretical principles for common massage therapy systems & manual techniques. Overviews selected major cautions & contraindications for giving massage, benefits of proper massage therapy treatments in an athletic context. Demonstration of fundamental manual techniques in the traditional discipline of massage. Covers anatomy, physiology & human pathology in order to understand all inner workings of the body.
The TAMIU Baseball program will introduce students to learn Defensive & Offensive Skills, tutorials, and lectures on the game of baseball.
The Therapeutic Massage Program provides an overview of principles for common massage therapy systems and manual techniques. Offers a well-organized study of the bones, joints, & muscles, all presented in a specific order that reflects the Ida P. Rolf method for developing structural integrity of the myofascial systems, palpation exercises, become comfortable with locating bony landmarks & exploring joint structures & motions, learning the locations, actions & trigger points of muscles.
This comprehensive program in the study of victims of crime, Victimology, covers contemporary developments in the field of victimology, its conceptual boundaries, basic concepts and literature as well as the various subfields that make up this subject within criminology and criminal justice.
"The Wills, Trusts & Estates Specialist Program explores the ins & outs of the legal & ethical requirements necessary to develop & administer an estate plan. Introduced to highly-specialized legal vocabulary pertaining to these particular legal fields, relevant substantive & procedural law that govern wills, trusts and estates. Students will produce an estate planning and estate administration portfolio of relevant documents that thoroughly covers the wills, trusts, and estates legal specialty.
A special yoga class focused on wellness, stress management and increased flexibility will be offered as part of a non-credit community course offering at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). Led by TAMIU faculty member Dr. Jyotsna Mukherji, the class is part of TAMIU's Continuing Education program. It is open to the community, designed for teenagers and adults.
