Course Detail: BLSNI2 - BLS- New Instructor Course Part 2 Instructor Monitoring
Requirements for Instructor Candidates:

For successful completion, instructor candidates must:

1. Be accepted by an AHA Training Center before enrolling in an Instructor Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center.
2. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for the associated Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline.
3. Successfully complete the discipline-specific classroom Faculty-led Instructor Course.
4. Successfully be monitored teaching their first course within 6 months after completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course (Training Center Coordinators can require additional monitoring if needed).

The Instructor-AHA partnership is critical to the success of the courses. The AHA develops the videos and texts that teach students the science. The instructors are the hands-on implementers: they evaluate, coach, remediate, and help students learn the skills.
