The AHA's new BLS Course has been updated to include science and education from the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
This session is designed to complete the BLS certification process. Upon presenting the AHA certificate for Part 1 (student purchases Part 1, BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course online via AHA Online website), an AHA BLS Instructor will conduct a Skills Practice (Part 2) and Testing Session (Part 3). Upon successful completion, the student will receive a BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card.
A two-week course learning the essential components to create unique coil, pinch, and slab-built vessels. Students will learn the basics of working with earthenware clay, beginning with simple functional forms and expanding to include components such as lids and feet. We will experiment with various surface decorations and learn ways to incorporate volume, texture, and color. All levels welcome.

This exciting course is designed to teach legal investigation to those interested in pursuing a new career and those presently working in the legal field. At the end of the course, students will be qualified to assist attorneys, paralegals, insurance companies and private businesses, as well as state and federal government agencies, in the process of civil and criminal investigation. Students will also be taught how to create a freelance investigation business. Included subject areas are: arson investigation, products liability investigation, personal injury and traffic accident forensics, employment accidents, investigation of financial and equity matters, professional malpractice and negligence, skip-tracing, and the role of a legal investigator in preparing for civil and criminal litigation.
The Marketing Professional program outlines for students current theories of marketing, their effective application and concepts important to marketing goods and services, identifying and further defining target customers, targeting those customers and really reaching them through your messaging from both a domestic and global perspective.
A medical billing and coding specialist obtains reimbursement for claims using diagnostic codes to submit claims to insurance companies and bill patients.

This 300 hour certification course will teach the students the new code changes that have occurred recently. During lab day, students will perform simulated tasks as if they were working at a hospital. Instructor will review weekly lessons and guide them thru simulation. Reference books will be available in the classroom in preparation for the Certification Exams.

The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study.
A pharmacy technician is assists pharmacists in supplying, assembling, and distributing medications.

This 300 hour Certification program will prepare students to work in a Pharmacy environment. Additionally, terminology will be emphasized and taught to students. Students will meet once a week on lab days with their instructor and review the weekly lessons.

Instructor will prepare students by reviewing procedures/safety precautions and other material needed for their externship.

A veterinary assistant works directly with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to care for sick and injured animals, surgical preparations, and laboratory procedures.

This 150 hour Certification Course will train and expose students to veterinary practices. Instructor will review proper safety procedures during lab days. "Live" portion will meet Tuesday evenings. Readings and lectures will be done online during the week.

A special yoga class focused on wellness, stress management and increased flexibility will be offered as part of a non-credit community course offering at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). Led by TAMIU faculty member Dr. Jyotsna Mukherji, the class is part of TAMIU's Continuing Education program. It is open to the community, designed for teenagers and adults.
