Course Detail: WOLFE - 191 Thomas Wolfe: Of Time and the River

Continue the study of author Thomas Wolfe's troubled life in Of Time and the River. (This is the follow-up to Look Homeward, Angel. Both books were edited by Maxwell Perkins.)Subtitled "A Legend of Man's Hunger in His Youth," the saga follows the educational path of Eugene Gant (representing Wolfe) as he begins his studies at Harvard. (It is helpful, but not necessary, to have read the first volume.) Please read Book One (86 pages, in the edition Kohut is using) for the first session.
