Course Detail: FITTEST - 334 Senior Fitness Test

FREE: Senior Fitness Test (Designed for ages 60-94) The Senior Fitness Test provides data related to functional activities of daily living; like putting on a shirt, tying shoes, risk of fall and having enough energy for the day. There are eight simple tests that KINE 372 and Occupational Therapy majors will guide you through: chair stand test, sit and reach, arm curl test, two-minute step test, back scratch test, eight-foot up and go test, 6-minute walk and body mass index. You can decide, with our advice, to take all of them or some of them. You will also receive an assessment of "daily occupations" (how you are doing with life skills) from a graduate OT major as well. All of this in about an hour. You will get confidential written results and interpretation of these tests to take with you when you leave. Wear non-slip soled shoes (tennis shoes) and comfortable clothing. Please sign up early. Call the OLLI office by June 1 to register: 964-4475. (Park in Lot R and enter through the Recreation Center entrance.)
