Course Detail: CLASSICCARS - Classic Cars and Rock and Roll

Join us for an exciting discussion of the historic Bay City Auto Company and Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in this unique OLLI After Hours event. At one time nearly 50 area shops manufactured or finished passenger and utility vehicles. The Bay City Auto Company became the world's first Cadillac store and distributorship in 1904, changing its name to Mitchell Cadillac in the 1960s and was sold to Labadie in 1979. In 2005, Mitchell family descendants focused their automotive interests, and began selling classic and exotic collector cars across the globe through the revived Bay City Auto Company and its sister organization, the Bay City Motor Company. Additionally, a display of photos and memorabilia for the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Internet Hall of Fame has been displayed at the Bay City Motor Company since 2005. The historical and cultural connection between rock and roll and cars has made for an ideal partnership, and the site has inducted 97 for memberss. Please join the Bay City Auto Company and Michigan Rock and Roll Legends for this OLLI After Hours event; complete with food, beverages from Bay City's Adventure Coffee, a private tour, discussion and just good fun!
