Course Detail: FRANCONIANS - 12 Frankenmuth Historic Walking Tour

Meet at 635 South Main St., Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth Visitor Center Parking Lot). This summer the Frankenmuth is celebrating its 175th anniversary! Spend some time strolling Main Street and learn about the city's origination with just 15 settlers from Germany, its strong connection to the Cass River, breweries and eventually tourism. You'll learn about the notable families, historic sites and events, and businesses that have been operating almost as long as the community itself. OLLI members will be the first to experience these brand new tours organized by the City Beautification Committee and the Historic District Committee. Following the tour we will have lunch along with a strudel making experience at the Bavarian Inn in our own private dining room. This local adventure includes your tour, strudel making experience, and lunch. Upon registration you will select your lunch choice. Participation is limited to 20 people.
