DESCRIPTION:Event Description:\n\nLineworker Apprenticeship 3B\n\nThe lineworker apprenticeship program is designed to provide related technical instruction for participants currently employed as apprentice lineworkers in the power generation and distribution industry. This course is the sixth in a series of eight courses and covers the topics of Underground Cable Installation, Transformer Troubleshooting, Climbing Steel Poles and Towers, Transmission Line Installation, Rigging for High Voltage Work, Working on De-energized Transmission Lines, Overhead Troubleshooting, Overhead Troubleshooting in Emergency Conditions, and Power Quality.\n\nEvent Schedule:\n\nThis is a Hybrid Course with online and in-person lab work. Canvas access is available August 25, 2026, through December 10, 2026. Lab work will be 6pm to 9pm on Wednesdays beginning August 26, 2026, through December 9, 2026, at either SLCC Miller Pole Yard, MCPC-123, or the St. George Power Training Yard. Please watch for communication in Canvas, from your employer, and from instructors for weekly specifics.
