DESCRIPTION:Title: Nutrition Certificate\n\nDescription: Become a certified Nutrition Specialist through the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN). This course is designed to educate individuals in the science of nutrition and its role in health and weight management and to provide the necessary tools to build a solid foundation for sound nutrition practice. This certification is a great addition to the portfolio of any current or aspiring wellness professional, allied health professional, culinarian, daycare provider, and more. The program consists of an online, asynchronous science and nutrition module which takes about five hours to complete, and then an eight-hour instructor led classroom-based portion.
After completing the course, students will be eligible to take an open-book exam to complete their certification. Study materials, the testing voucher, and a one-year membership to AASDN are included in the course fee. Upon certification you will be able to guide clients without chronic illness, with nutritional advice.
