DESCRIPTION:Title: Peacemaking Circles\n\nDescription: <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Peacemaking Circles</strong>&nbsp;is the second level in the&nbsp;<em>Certificate in Restorative &amp; Democratic Circle Leadership</em>&nbsp;and prepares participants to use Circle Processes to engage conflict, address harm, and support accountability and repair.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">Grounded in trauma-informed Restorative and Transformative Justice, this highly experiential course moves beyond community-building into the more complex work of facilitating dialogue when relationships have been strained, harm has occurred, or emotions and power dynamics are heightened. Through guided practice, reflection, case-based learning, and simulated facilitation, participants deepen their ability to hold relational space with compassion, accountability, and care.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">Participants will learn how to:</p><ul data-spread="false"><li>Analyze conflict and harm through restorative and transformative justice frameworks</li><li>Design and facilitate peacemaking circles that support accountability, repair, and relational transformation</li><li>Navigate heightened emotions, defensiveness, silence, and power imbalances</li><li>Apply trauma-informed and identity-conscious practices to complex dialogue</li><li>Prepare participants and stakeholders for effective peacemaking processes</li><li>Strengthen their own self-awareness, emotional regulation, and decision-making as Circle Keepers</li></ul><p class="isSelectedEnd">This course is ideal for educators, organizational leaders, HR professionals, community practitioners, facilitators, and others whose work involves navigating conflict, repairing relationships, or guiding groups through difficult conversations.</p><p>Level 2 builds on the foundational skills introduced in Level 1:&nbsp;<em>Community-Building Circles</em>. Participants may enter Level 2 directly if they have a basic understanding of Circle structure and experience with community work grounded in deep listening, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and shared responsibility. Prior experience with Circles, restorative practices, facilitated dialogue, or other relational processes is helpful.</p><p><strong>Early Registration Pricing:</strong>&nbsp;The regular course fee is $2,499.
