No image available Biography: Since graduating at the top of her class from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a BFA specifying in Jewelry Design and Fabrication, Casey Sobel has immersed herself into as many aspects of the Jewelry World as possible. On top of working for notable NYC staples such as Catbird, Alex Sepkus, and Cartier, in a variety of roles, Sobel has exhibited personal collections in numerous exemplary establishments. Included in that list is the Museum of Arts and Design, the Smithsonian's National Building Museum, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Museum Gallery and with Brooklyn Designs. All of her work is designed, and fabricated herself in her Brooklyn Navy Yard studio. In 2015 her piece Domina Collar was collected by the Museum of Arts and Design for their permanent collection as per the Loot Acquisition Award. Sobel's work has been shown in a variety of publications, such as Women's Wear Daily: Milan, Architectural Digest, and Swarovski's 2018 Gem Visions trend book. Included in a list of achieved awards for her work, was a full scholarship to Penland School of Craft in 2014 to continue her education and expand her mediums. Now also a professor at her alma-mater, Pratt Institute, she teaches design and fabrication techniques and encourages the future of Craft. Casey Sobel currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
