Through hands-on projects, students will sharpen their photo editing skills, explore advanced design techniques, and utilize creative effects and professional workflows that help bring their ideas to life.

This course includes weekly email communication from the instructor. Emails may contain important announcements, class updates, learning resources, and follow-up materials to support your progress throughout the course.

Skill Level: Intermediate Canva users are encouraged to attend. Participants should be comfortable navigating Canva, using templates, and editing basic text and images. This course builds on foundational skills and focuses on advanced Canva Pro features such as photo editing, video creation, content planning, interactive learning tools, and professional design techniques. The instructor will focus on advanced tools and will not cover basic Canva or general computer skills.

Day 3: Interactive Design & Visual Communication

Day 4: Creative Showcase

Please Note: Students will need to purchase a Canva Pro membership subscription prior to the first course meeting if they do not already have one. This membership is necessary to participate in the course activities. The fee for membership is $15/month presently.

To earn a digital certificate for this course, students must:

Attend at least three classes, and
Submit a minimum of two assignments, including the final assignment.

About the Instructor

Marjae Cashdollar is a Designer and Illustrator with a passion for helping others succeed through shared knowledge. She holds an Associate of Science in Commercial Art and Bachelor of Fine Arts / Photography from Indiana University School of Visual & Performing Arts. With over 25 years of creative experience, she has extensive knowledge in the fields of graphic design, branding, product design, photography, illustration, large format printing, event signage, lettering, painting and more.
