The Japanese language is spoken by more than 130 million people worldwide.
The language of Japanese is agglutinative, meaning most words are formed by joining morphemes together. The complex honorific system (keigo) distinguishes it from other languages. It uses distinct vocabulary and verb forms that indicate a relative status that is held by the listener, the speaker, and whoever is mentioned in the conversations.
Study contents will include being able to read and write Hiragana/Katakana letters, mastering simple useful phrases and learning Japanese cultures all tied to educational activities.
Japanese culture and conversation studies will revolve around seasonal themes. In this course, not only do you learn the language, but also the Japanese culture.

- All students must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
- Course fee does not include required textbook. Required textbook Japanese for Young People I: Student Book (Japanese for Young People Series) may be purchased at Amazon.com.
