Discover New Ways to Present Your Company's Data

By applying the robust functionality that is built into Excel® to your organization's raw data, you will be able to gain a level of insight into that data that would have been nearly impossible just a couple of decades ago.

Excel® can help you organize, calculate, analyze, revise, update and present your data in ways that will help the decision makers in your organization steer you in the right direction. This course aims to provide you with the foundational Excel® knowledge and skills necessary to begin the journey.


Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to create and develop Excel® worksheets and workbooks in order to work with and analyze the data that is critical to the success of their organization.

Students will:


This class has two options to participate:

1. Fully in-person at Purdue Fort Wayne. Students will participate in the live sessions during the scheduled course days and times.


2. Fully online via Zoom. Students will participate in the live sessions during the scheduled course days and times. (Online Course Requirements: Students should have access to MS Excel® 2019 or newer, a reliable internet connection, and a computer camera and microphone).

You will be able to select the option that works for you (ONLINE or IN-PERSON) at time of registration.

If you have never taken an online course before, taking the course in-person is encouraged.


Attendance Policy: Students must attend all three (3) live sessions to receive the course completion certificate.



About the Instructor 

Instructor Todd Raines is the IT Training Coordinator at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Raines is the 2008 recipient of the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) Mid-America Region Excellence in Teaching and Faculty Service Award.
